Do DA and PA Of A Website Affect Ranking Or SEO?

Most new webmasters are obsessed with so many questions on DA( domain authority) and PA(page authority) such as

  • My site DA and PA score got decreased and how to increase it.
  • My site is not getting traffic because of the low DA and PA scores.
  • The site is not ranking due to low DA and PA.
  • How DA, PA affect SEO.
  • Is it a ranking signal?
  • Does Google consider it to be a ranking signal?
  • How to increase DA, PA.
  • Someone's website has a 70 DA score and mine is 5. That's why that website is ranking on the first page of Google.
I know you've dozens of questions about this boring topic. However, before we understand it, we will take a step back and understand what do DA and PA mean in short?
In a nutshell, DA stands for domain authority is just a score giving(0-100)metric started by Moz to determine how a website will rank or behave in SERPs in terms of score. The more the DA score, the more likely it will rank higher on search engines like Google.
While PA stands for page authority is also a score giving metric from 0 to 100, started by Moz which tries to predict how a page can be ranked in terms of score. The more the PA score, the more likely it will rank on the search engine results page(SERPs).

Google has officially stated that DA and PA are not a ranking factor or affect SEO. It's just a metric created by Moz. In fact, Moz also said it doesn't influence ranking or SEO, and you don't have to obsess with it.

Whoever is saying it does affect SEO and ranking, make sure you don't listen to them. I hope you understood. You were confused because this sort of myth is influencing people on the internet especially on Youtube, with many questions. Apparently, People don't about it and spreading it on the internet. I know it doesn't make any sense.
